How to Use These Ratios
Gold/Silver Ratio
When the ratio is high (silver is cheap relative to gold), some investors buy silver expecting mean reversion. When the ratio is low (silver is expensive relative to gold), they may favor gold. The ratio is not predictive but helps understand relative value.
Gold/Oil Ratio
This ratio tends to rise during recessions and financial crises (gold outperforms) and fall during strong economic growth (oil outperforms). It can serve as a rough gauge of economic health and risk sentiment.
